Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to Creature Group Pte Ltd (“CC”). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully as it forms part of the Rental Agreement which govern the rental of the rental equipment and its related services on the Citycreature Platform. Any changes to the Privacy Policy will be updated on the Citycreature Platform and apply immediately.

In this Privacy Policy:

“Citycreature Platform“ shall mean the City Creature website or mobile application.

“personal information” is data that can be used to identify an individual.

“processing” includes but is not limited to collecting, holding, storing, recording, organizing, adapting, using, disclosing, correcting, destructing.

1.         COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

1.1       Each time when you make a booking for the rental of rental equipment on the Citycreature Platform or email or contact us for clarifications about CC, the rental equipment, booking process and related information:

1. you will be asked to provide certain information about yourself.

• the information collected during the booking process may include but is not limited to your name, email address and mobile number, billing address, delivery address etc.

1.3       When you visit the Citycreature Platform

1. When you visit any Citycreature Platform our web servers automatically collect information about your visit to these websites, including your Internet Protocol (IP) address, the time, date and duration of your visit. Your IP address is a unique identifier for your computer or other access device.

• Citycreature may track your visits to any Citycreature Platform by placing a “cookie” on your computer or other access device when you enter. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or other access device by websites that you visit. They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more effectively, as well as to provide information to the owners of the websites.

• Cookies allow CC to save preferences for you so that you will not have to re-enter them the next time you visit. Cookies also help CC collect anonymous click stream data for tracking user trends and patterns. CC may use the anonymous click stream data to help deliver better-targeted advertisements.

• You can remove cookies by following directions provided in your internet browser’s “help” file. You should understand that areas of certain websites will not function properly if you set your internet browser to not accept cookies.

• CC may use clear gifs in its HTML-based emails in order to find out which emails have been opened by the recipients. This allows CC to gauge the effectiveness of certain communications and the effectiveness of its marketing campaigns.

• Our partners and service providers use cookies to collect information about the usage of Citycreature Platform. The use of cookies by our partners and service providers is not covered by our privacy policy. We do not have access or control over these cookies.           

2.         PURPOSES OF COLLECTING AND USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

2.1       The purposes for which CC processes your personal information are as follows:

1. To verify your identity;
2. To administer and manage the rental of rental equipment provided to you;
3. To contact you in respect of the booking of the rental of rental equipment;
4. To process your booking order for the rental of rental equipment and related services which you have requested;
5. To investigate and resolve any of the billing queries, complaints or other enquiries that you submit to CC;
6. To manage quality assurance;
7. To monitor and improve the performance of the Citycreature Platform and CC’s services;
8. To maintain and improve the Citycreature Platform and CC’s Services;
9. To detect and prevent fraudulent activity;
10. To send you marketing communications, communicate with you about our Citycreature Services and let you know about our policies and terms. We also use your personal information to respond to you when you contact us.
11. To use the personal information we have to help verify accounts and activity, and to promote safety and security on the Citycreature platform, such as by investigating suspicious activity or violations of our terms or policies.

2.2       You are not able to limit the processing of your information for the purposes set out in Clause 2.1 above. If you do not consent to Citycreature processing your information for the said purposes, you must terminate your relevant agreement with CC and stop using the Citycreature Platform.

2.3       In addition, CC may use your personal information for the following purposes:

1. To promote and market to you our CC products / services / activities (including those of third parties) which we consider may be of interest to you;

• To send you seasonal greeting messages and/or message.

• To send you tips, advice and survey information to maximize the use of the rental equipment and the Citycreature Platform.

3.         CHOICE AND ACCESS OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

3.1       You may have different privacy concerns. Citycreature allows you to make meaningful choices about how your personal information is used in certain instances. For example:

1. You may view, edit or delete certain of your personal information and preferences at any time;
2. You may also subscribe to additional services from CC;

4.         RETENTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

4.1       CC will retain your personal information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes set out in Clause 2 above and any legal or business purposes.

5.         SECURITY OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

5.1       CC shall on a best efforts basis put appropriate procedures in place to protect personal information from loss, theft and misuse, as well as against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction.

5.2       No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, CC cannot guarantee its absolute security.

6.         TO WHOM PERSONAL INFORMATION IS DISCLOSED

6.1       Personal information mentioned in Clause 1 above may be disclosed to the classes of third parties as follows in order for CC to effectively manage its business including to rent the rental equipment to you to achieve the purposes described in Clause 2:

1. third parties contracted by CC to assist CC in delivering all or part of the services to you, including without limitation, to the following:
   
   
2. Payment gateway services or merchant acquirers for optional services; and
3. Maintenance and repair services;

• Strategic partners that work with CC to provide its services or that help market and promote CC’s products and services and/or the Citycreature Platform;
• Regulatory bodies, governmental bodies or other authorities if required or authorized to do so to discharge any regulatory function, under any law or in relation to any order or judgment of a court;
• Regulatory bodies, governmental bodies or other authorities for the purpose of detection or prevention of crime, illegal/unlawful activities or fraud or for the apprehension or prosecution of offenders, or for an investigation relating to any of these;
• Any party involved in or related to a legal proceeding (or prospective legal proceeding), for purposes of the legal proceedings;
• CC’s professional advisors on a need to know basis for the purpose of those advisors providing advice to Citycreature;
• Any third party which acquires all or part of the shares, assets or business of CC (including accounts and trade receivables); and
• Otherwise permitted under any data protection legislation.

7.         YOUR OBLIGATIONS REGARDING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

7.1       You are responsible for providing accurate, not misleading, complete and up-to-date information to CC about yourself and any other person whose personal information you provide us and for updating this personal information as and when it becomes inaccurate, misleading, incomplete and out-of date by contacting CC via email at: sgsecurity@citycreature.com.sg.

7.2       In the circumstances you may need to provide to CC personal information about someone other than yourself. If so, we rely on you to inform these individual that you are providing their personal information to CC, to make sure they consent to you giving us their information and to advise them about where they can find a copy of this Privacy Policy (on the Citycreature Platform).

8.         TRANSFER OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION OUTSIDE OF YOUR LOCAL JURISDICTION

8.1       It may be necessary for CC to transfer your personal information outside of your local jurisdiction if any of Citycreature’s service providers or strategic partners (“overseas entities”) is involved in providing part of the Citycreature’s products and services.

9.         LINKED SITES

9.1       Citycreature Platform that may contain links to third party sites.

9.2       Citycreature is not responsible for such third party sites. Any personal information made available by you on such sites will not have the benefit of this Privacy Policy and will be subject to the relevant third party’s privacy policy (if any). 

9.4       Citycreature Platform includes social media features or interactive mini-programs. These features may collect your IP address, which page that you are visiting on our site, and may set a cookies to enable the feature to function properly. Social media features and widgets are either hosted by third party or hosted directly on our site. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the entity providing it.

10.       YOUR CONSENT

10.1    In using the Citycreature Platform, you consent to the collections and use of the personal information by CC in the ways described hereinabove (which may change from time to time).
